Rami El Ali joined the College of Information Science at the University of Arizona for a second PhD after eight years in a tenure-track position in philosophy. As a philosopher he worked on the philosophy of perception, the 20th-century phenomenological movement, and the philosophy of digital technology. When virtual reality devices became widely available, he became fascinated with the technology. In this program, he aims to develop more technical skills that can compliment his conceptual research on virtual reality. https://infosci.arizona.edu/person/rami-el-ali
